🌸🌺Meet Caitlyn 🌺🌸 Hi, I’m Caitlyn, the stylist behind The Story Book Stylist. 🌹🦋 I’ve spent 15 years behind the chair, 13 of them in California, but my love for hair began much earlier in South Carolina. When I was around 12, I sat in the chair of a stylist who showed me what my hair could be rather than the thick, out of control mane it was (still is). That experience changed the way I saw my hair and ultimately inspired me to make hair my career. Years later, he is still part of my life as a family friend and mentor. After 13 years of building my life and career in California, I took a leap of faith and moved across the country to Michigan. That experience taught me just how meaningful a new chapter can be, and it inspired the heart behind The Story Book Stylist. Wherever you are in your story, I want my chair to be a place where you feel seen, cared for, and a little more confident walking out than when you came in. I’ve grown and honed my craft in some of the country’s biggest beauty markets. I’m proud of the expertise I’ve built, but I believe exceptional hair should still be approachable. I’m devoted to keeping my services accessible so every chapter can have great hair, not just the ones with a big beauty budget. I also believe in meeting people where they are. If you’re in a chapter where you have a little extra to give, gratuity is always appreciated, but it’s never an expectation. My listed schedule reflects the days I’m committed to being behind the chair, but life doesn’t always fit neatly into a calendar. If you need an appointment outside of those hours, please feel free to reach out! I’m always happy to see if I can accommodate a specific availability request. 🫶🏼 When I’m not behind the chair, you’ll probably find me with a good book, baking something unnecessarily elaborate, spending time with my boyfriend and pets, or exploring Michigan. Cancellation Policy
I completely understand that life happens! ❤️ I want to be as flexible and understanding as possible, so cancellations and rescheduling are welcome online up to 3 hours before your appointment with no fee.
If something comes up within 3 hours of your appointment, please reach out via text or Instagram DM as soon as you can. I understand that emergencies and unexpected situations happen, and I’ll always do my best to work with you.
That said, repeated last-minute cancellations, no-shows, or failure to communicate may result in a cancellation fee or require a deposit to book future appointments.
My goal isn’t to penalize anyone for being human, it’s simply to protect appointment time that could have been offered to another client. Thank you for respecting my time and allowing me to offer the same flexibility and kindness to everyone. ❤️
